We have worked closely with the Trust to look at data cleansing, health and safety issues where storage of records on NHS sites are concerned, and also streamline processes for accessing and delivering records direct to site.  

We have also worked hard to establish accounting structures that relate to the localities and cost centres that the Trust work to, which has included re-structuring over the period they have stored with us, thus ensuring that the correct department and cost centres can remain responsible for the storage they hold and the access they make to their storage.

The C&V staff are very friendly and competent and reliable.  When we sent our first batch of files to them I was careful to log for my records everything that was going.  Now I just rely on C&V.  Their pricing is competitive and the level of service is excellent.  When we e-mail a request for a file, it always comes the next day, usually around lunchtime.

Our Practice has employed C&V Data Management Services Limited for over a decade for the purposes of the storage of client matters and deeds of the same.

Encompassed in this service is the retrieval of both forms of documentation when required by the Practice.

Upon completion of a client matter and the subsequent retention period having elapsed C&V Data Management Services Limited are responsible for the destruction of the document having first sought the approval of the Practice.

Our company prior to outsourcing this function to C&V Data Management Services Limited completed the same in house.

A secure building was required, staff, transport facility and the employment of a company for the destruction of documentation.

The decision to outsource this necessity has “freed up” that responsibility tasking the function to a professional body.

The success of that function we view in total i.e. the initial transition of the bulk of documentation from the Practice to C&V Data Management Services Limited and the subsequent “smooth running” of the operation.

Staff are an important ingredient of the service provided.  The relationship with C&V is first class.  Good communication in the different formats are essential – this happens.

The Practice is mindful of the cost implication of this service.  Whilst comfortable with the changes preferred as of this time, the marketplace is and will be continuously explored.
